RECYCLING AND REPURPOSING

The litter pick we did in November started something….

The residents’ ambitions have grown. We are now recycling and reusing what we can to create pocket gardens throughout the local area to encourage more wildlife and increase biodiversity.

We’ve repurposed oil drums from the scrap yard, tyres from the NTS tyres, bits we’ve found dumped on the street… reusing anything we can find. It’s given the street a unique look!

As well as repurposing planters, we’ve also installed some art works - covered walls in colourful tiles, painted our shutters.

The area is looking brighter and much more fun and theres more to come!

Old tyres make great planters

We love old tiles of all shapes and sizes
